What Determines the Resolution?
What the creator uploaded — nothing else. Solutions to Common Problems
The download does not start
First things first: check that the video is public and that the link points to a specific post, not a profile. On iPhone use Safari — it's the browser that handles downloads on iOS. If nothing happens when you tap 'Download', your browser has probably blocked the download: look for the notice next to the address bar and allow it. As a last resort, copy the link again from TikTok's Share button and go through the process once more.
The video looks blurry or low quality
TikSnap downloads the highest quality TikTok offers for that video, without re-compressing it. If the original was uploaded in low resolution, no better copy exists on any server and no tool can invent one. Check how the video looks inside the app itself: if it's not sharp there either, that's the file's real quality.
The TikTok link is not recognized
Copy the link from the 'Copy link' option of the Share button. Long links (https://www.tiktok.com/@username/video/...) work, and so do the short ones the mobile app generates (vm.tiktok.com and vt.tiktok.com). What doesn't work: links re-shortened through other services (like bit.ly), or links to profiles or hashtags — the URL must point to a specific post.
