The service is funded solely by the advertising shown on the page, so we will never ask for payment details or redirect you to a checkout. If you ever land on a page pretending to be TikSnap and asking for money, it is not ours.

There are no paid quotas or premium plans: you can download what you need under normal personal use. There is an automatic protection against abusive use: a generous cap on original-quality downloads per connection and day, and a brake for bots or scripts firing hundreds of requests per minute, so the service stays fast for everyone. Regular personal use doesn't reach that cap. If you do see a wait message at some point, simply try again later.

What can be illegal is what happens afterwards: redistributing, monetising or claiming someone else's work without authorisation infringes copyright. A TikTok video is a copyrighted work from the moment it is published, and uploading it to your Instagram, YouTube or TikTok account as if it were yours can result in a claim, content removal or account suspension. If you want to share it, the right approach is to ask for permission, always credit the author and, where possible, use the platform's native share features. Downloading for inspiration or archiving is not the same as redistributing.

First of all, TikSnap does not store or host your content: it only temporarily processes the public link the user pastes. So there is nothing on our servers to remove. If you find someone reposting your work without permission, the claim should go to the platform where it was uploaded. No. TikSnap can only process content that is public on TikTok, meaning videos anyone can watch without logging in. If a profile is private, if a video is set to "friends only" or if the creator has restricted visibility by region or age, our system cannot reach it and will show an error. We do not offer, and will never offer, any way to bypass those settings, because doing so would violate the privacy the creator has chosen for their content.

No. When you paste a link, our server looks it up, retrieves the URL of the original file and hands it to you so the download happens directly on your device. That processing is temporary and takes a few seconds; we keep no copies of the videos, no link history tied to you and no profile of what you download. The only records that exist are the standard technical server logs, retained briefly to detect errors and abuse.

No, nothing at all. TikSnap runs entirely in the browser, so there are no apps, extensions, programs or configuration profiles to install. This matters for security: many TikTok downloader "apps" bundle adware or request unnecessary permissions on your phone. With a web tool that risk does not exist, because nothing runs outside the browser tab. If any page asks you to install an APK file or an extension to use TikSnap, close it: it is not ours.

Yes. Every connection between your device and our servers is encrypted with HTTPS, the same technology that protects online banking. We ask for no registration, passwords or personal data, so there are no credentials that could leak. The site is also protected by Cloudflare, which filters malicious traffic and automated attacks before they reach our servers. The files you download are the same ones TikTok serves to its own app, with no modifications and no added code.

TikSnap uses the essential technical cookies needed for the page to work (Cloudflare's protection) and cookies and identifiers from Monetag, our advertising network, to serve and measure ads. Visitor statistics are measured with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not identify users. We do not use cookies to identify you personally or to track your downloads. We collect the bare minimum. We do not ask for a name, email or phone number, because none of that is needed to use the service. What is processed automatically is technical information such as your IP address, browser type and pages visited, which we use in aggregate to measure traffic and maintain security. First check that you copied the full link from TikTok's "Share" → "Copy link" button. Valid formats look like tiktok.com/@user/video/..., vm.tiktok.com/... or vt.tiktok.com/.... If the link came from a message, make sure it was not cut off and that it contains no extra text. If it still fails, verify that the video is public and available in your region. Occasionally TikTok changes its internal structure and we need a few hours to adapt; in that case, try again a little later.

TikSnap downloads the original version of the video exactly as the creator published it, without the watermark TikTok adds when sharing. However, if the creator embedded a logo, a username or a signature while editing (for example in CapCut or another editor), that element is part of the video frames themselves and not a separate layer. That means it will appear in any download, because it is content made by the author. There is no way to obtain that video without that mark, since it never existed without it.

That is normal Safari behaviour on iOS, not a TikSnap bug. When the video opens in a new tab, press and hold on it and choose "Save to Photos" or "Download Linked File". You can also tap the downloads icon (the arrow in Safari's top bar) and from there press "Share" → "Save Video". That message appears when TikTok no longer serves the video at the address you pasted. The most common causes are that the creator deleted it, switched it to private, changed their username, or that TikTok took it down for violating its guidelines. It also happens with region- or age-restricted videos. TikSnap keeps no copies of any content, so if the video is no longer publicly available, we cannot recover it. If you believe the video is still online, open the link in your browser to confirm and copy it again.
