Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy describes the storage technologies used by TikSnap (available at www.tiksnap.es), why we use them, and the choices you have to control them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which covers how we handle personal data in general.

1. What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file that a website places in your browser when you visit it. Its job is to let the site remember something between one visit and the next, such as a preference you selected or the fact that you already passed a security check. Cookies can be session cookies (deleted when you close the browser) or persistent cookies (kept for a set period), and they can be first-party (set by TikSnap) or third-party (set by another service that loads on our page, such as Google or Cloudflare).

Alongside cookies there are similar technologies such as localStorage, a storage area built into the browser that works in a comparable way but is not sent to the server with every request. Throughout this policy we use the word "cookies" to refer to all of these technologies together.

2. How TikSnap uses cookies

TikSnap is a simple tool: there are no accounts and we do not build user profiles, so the list of cookies we rely on is short. The table below covers everything that may be stored on your device while you use the site:

3. Cookie categories

3.1 Essential cookies

These are required for the site to work and stay secure. They include the cookies that store your consent choice and the Cloudflare security cookies that protect us from bots and abuse. They do not require consent because the service could not operate without them.

3.2 Analytics cookies

These help us understand how TikSnap is used: which pages get the most visits, what kind of devices people use, and how quickly the site loads. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which works with aggregated data and does not set cookies or track individual users across websites.

3.3 Advertising cookies

These are set by Monetag, the advertising network that lets us display ads and cover our server and domain costs. They are used to measure ad performance, avoid showing you the same ad too many times and, depending on your settings, tailor ads to your interests. The details are in the Monetag privacy policy.

4. Google advertising cookies

Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) to serve ads to users based on their previous visits to this website and to other websites. You can read how Google handles advertising data on its advertising technologies page, and you can turn off personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings.

To obtain your consent we use Google's certified consent management platform, integrated with the IAB Europe Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF). If you access the site from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will see that message before any personalised ad is loaded: you can accept, decline or manage each purpose and each vendor. If you do not give your consent, Google may only display non-personalised ads, which are based on the context of the page rather than on your browsing history across sites.

5. Your consent and how to change it

Besides cookies, your browser may ask for permission to show notifications. They are only enabled if you click "Allow"; if you click "Block" or close the prompt, none are sent.

Legal basis. If you are in the European Union, advertising cookies are used on the basis of your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), while essential cookies rely on our legitimate interest in providing a secure, working service (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). In Spain we also follow Article 22.2 of the LSSI, which requires clear information and prior consent for any cookie that is not exempt.

Every modern browser lets you view, block and delete cookies from its settings. Keep in mind that blocking essential cookies may stop your consent choice from being remembered or prevent Cloudflare from validating your connection. Here are the official guides:

7. Third-party cookies and external links

Cookies set by Google and Cloudflare are governed by those companies' own privacy policies, over which TikSnap has no control. Likewise, our site links to external pages (TikTok, social networks, help resources) that may set their own cookies when you visit them. We encourage you to review the cookie policy of any site you reach from TikSnap.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when we add new services, when our providers change the cookies they use, or when the law requires it. The current version will always be published on this page with its last-updated date. If the changes are significant, we will show you the consent message again.
